Field - Practice

Practice field is perfect for any field sports including baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, etc. This field is also an ideal space for any outdoor event such as a company picnic. 

Outside groups renting the field *must comply with all Shaw Sports Turf
usage and maintenance requirements*. The following activities are *strictly prohibited* on the synthetic turf field

❌ Field Use & Activities

Unauthorized uses not approved in the rental agreement

Golfing, shot put, javelin, discus throwing, or similar activities

Bikes, scooters, lawn mowers, or recreational vehicles on the turf

Fireworks, open flames, welding, or hot objects of any kind

Smoking, chewing tobacco, gum, or sunflower seeds on the field

Food or drinks on the turf (water only, if approved)

❌ Footwear & Equipment

Metal cleats, long metal spikes, or spiked shoes

Equipment with metal or wire brushes

Unapproved cleaning equipment or chemicals

Paints or chalk not specifically approved for synthetic turf

❌ Vehicles & Loads

Vehicles with non-pneumatic tires

Tires inflated above 35 PSI

Heavy static loads (stages, equipment, storage) without approved load
distribution

Parking vehicles or equipment on the turf for extended periods

Storage of materials (drums, lumber, staging, tents, equipment)
directly on turf

❌ Water, Weather & Surface Damage

High-pressure water sprays exceeding 300 PSI

Direct water pressure that displaces infill

Use of salt, ice melt, or chemicals for snow or ice removal

Dragging equipment or chairs without protective feet or load spreaders

❌ Field Alterations & Materials

Adding infill, topdressing, or materials not approved by Shaw Sports
Turf

Painting lines, logos, or markings without prior written approval

Pulling turf fibers (high fibers must be trimmed only, never pulled)

DAMAGE RESPONSIBILITY & FINANCIAL LIABILITY

All outside users and renters assume full responsibility for any damage
caused to the synthetic turf field, including but not limited to:

Burns, melting, cuts, tears, seam separation, or fiber damage

Infill displacement or contamination

Staining from food, drinks, paint, chemicals, oils, or equipment

Damage caused by improper footwear, vehicles, or heavy loads

🔧 Repairs & Costs

*Any damage identified before, during, or after a rental event will be
repaired at the renter’s expense*

*Repair methods and costs will be determined by the school and/or Shaw Sports Turf*

*Failure to report damage immediately does not relieve financial
responsibility*

Costs may include *inspection, labor, materials, infill replacement,
grooming, and loss of field use*

⚠️ Non-Compliance

Violation of these rules may result in:

Immediate termination of field use

Loss of future rental privileges

Additional fees beyond the security deposit
